Licensed artists are entitled to a percentage of Grooveshark's ad revenue based on their percentage of the overall percentage of plays on Grooveshark. 
 

To put your band's music on Grooveshark, you'll have to create an Artist account at Grooveshark Artists.  Here, you'll be able to upload or remove music, organize your music catalogue, and use our awesome analytics to analyze and understand your fan base. 
 

If you are a label manager that represents a number of artists, you can opt to manage multiple artists with Grooveshark Artists. During the sign-up process, you will be prompted to choose whether or not you are a label or an artist. If you are a label, you will be prompted to enter which artists you claim.

After we verify your claim, Grooveshark Artists will create a Label account for you, and from there you can manage the content and analytics of multiple artists.
 

Once you have an artist account, managing multiple artists is easy.  To manage another artist, log into Grooveshark Artists, head to your Dashboard and click the "Add Artist" button, which is located right next to the drop-down menu.

Your manage request will have to be manually approved by our team, a process which should take less than a day or two. We do this to ensure that the wrong parties are never granted access to your analytics.
 

The longest it should take for an account to be approved is two days, though it is typically a much smaller waiting period.
 

Great question!  All music on Grooveshark is user-uploaded by either artists like you or your fans. If neither you nor your bandmates uploaded your songs then one of your dedicated fans beat you to it. 

Now that you have an artist account you can claim these songs and manage them in your Music Catalogue.  Once the songs are in your catalogue you can edit their metadata, add album art, and even remove them all together.  
 

Once you create a Grooveshark account, you control all of your content and can add and remove it at will. Did someone upload your EP before your release? Remove it. Want to leak your own album before the release to create viral traction? Upload it.

Demographic stats are broken down into charming bar and pie graphs for your convenience. This information can be used to your advantage when creating electronic press kits, booking tours, and more.
